At Academy Animal Hospital of Laurinburg, caring for pets is our passion.
Here, we treat pets like family. We understand how important your companion is to you — because they’re there for you through the thick and thin of life, with a wagging tail or a happy purr, and unconditional love.
Our goal is to be your partner in taking care of your pet’s physical and mental wellbeing, so you can enjoy many happy years together.
So, whether your pet needs a checkup with a doctor… a caring team and top-notch medical treatments when they’re ill… or, some advice on the best food for them or how to care for them at home — we’re here for you!
Here, we see small animals such as dogs and cats. And, we’ll strive to make their visit a comfortable and positive experience.
Come in and get to know us, and see why both you and your pet will love coming here!
We are excited to announce that we are AAHA Accredited.

Dr. Mack has three wonderful grown children, who continue to make her proud every day. She enjoys spending her free time around any body of water, making new memories with her family and friends. Dr. Mack has two dogs and two cats. Dr. William Goff has lived in North Carolina for several years practicing primarily small animal medicine. He received his Bachelor of Science in both chemistry and animal science from the University of Maryland in 2011. He went on to receive his doctorate of veterinary medicine from North Carolina State University in 2015. After graduating, he went on to complete a year-long small animal rotating internship at Purdue University before moving back to North Carolina.
Dr. Goff enjoys practicing and educating his clients on their pet’s health. His interests include internal medicine, endocrinology, cardiology, and ultrasound. He believes preventative care is very important and always advocates for the best care of his patients.
Dr. Goff is married to another veterinarian, Sara, who he met in school. They have a few pets that are collectively called the “Spice Rack:” Coriander, a hound; Basil, a terrier; Tarragon, a terrier; and Stella, a long-haired cat. They also have a small flock of chickens and a horse. Outside of veterinary medicine, he enjoys cooking, gardening, and relaxing in the pool.Dr. Leigha Williams
Dr. Leigha Williams graduated from Meredith College in 1996 where she received a bachelor’s degree in mathematics and a minor in statistics. After teaching at the community college level for one year, she attended NC State University College of Veterinary Medicine. She graduated in 2001 and returned to her hometown of Wadesboro to begin her career, which now encompasses twenty years of general small animal medical experience in the Piedmont and Sandhills. Dr. Williams’ special interest is in caring for small breed dogs through all of their life stages. Her first two toy poodles lived to be healthy teenagers, and her current one (Jax) is nine years old. She enjoys spending her spare time with him, her family, and friends.
The experience here was leaps and bounds above a different local vet clinic we had been taking our dog to for years. Academy has addressed multiple issues with our senior dog that the other vet didn’t seem to have time to deal with. Highly recommend Academy!
